It is optimal for research into side-channel attacks, in which cryptographic keys are deduced by observing the noise generated in the power supply.
It has three types of power supply observation points: soldering pads, probing points, and SMA connectors. There is also a version without the FPGA core power supply’s bypass capacitor.
